A Reel Look at Diversity, Pt 1

Part 1 of a 3-part interview with Brian Johnson on getting beyond the negativity we see in film. Brian Johnson is a faculty member in Bloomsburg University’s department of developmental instruction and director of the Frederick Douglass Institute for Academic Excellence. He speaks nationally on topics related to diversity, education, mass media, culture and film. Johnson is the author of We’ve Scene It All Before: Using Film Clips in Diversity Awareness Training, co-author of Reel Diversity: A Teacher’s Sourcebook and winner of the 2009 Phillip Chinn Book Award from the National Association for Multicultural Education.
